The renowned Indian bicycle manufacturer has launched its another eco-friendly machine named as Avon E-Bike, a few years back. This electric bike comes to action with the help of a 220W BLDC battery that runs via a 36V maintenance-free battery. It also has some convenient features such as headlight, rear glove box and an easy center stand that makes it a reliable vehicle. It is available in two colors, i.e., Silver with Red and Silver with Blue .

After extensive research and development of 3 years, Avon Cycles, India’s largest bicycle exporter, launched electric two-wheelers in 2006 in India and become the country’s first vehicle manufacturer to offer electric two-wheelers. 

The Ludhiana based manufacturer offers a total of 8 all-electric models that are targeted at customers aged between 8-16 years. The interesting part is this, most of the models are based on traditional bicycle platforms so in case the vehicle is running out of power, the rider can change the driving mode to ‘Pedal Assisted’ and reach the desired destination. The Avon E-bike E22B is also constructed on the same platform and weighs only 46 kgs. The bike has a 36 Volt DC motor that is paired with 3 x 12V, 10AH sealed the lead-acid maintenance-free battery. The E22B can achieve a top speed of 23 kmph and in one full charge covers 40 kilometers. Priced at Rs 16,000, the E22B is a great choice for teens and school going students to commute their daily short runs in a safe way.
