Mahindra has launched the e-Verito sedan at Rs 9.5 Lakh for the base D2 variant. The D4 and D6 variants are priced at Rs 9.75 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). The car is based on Mahindra’s slow-selling Verito sedan that is otherwise offered with a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Like the e2o, the e-Verito runs on electricity alone. It is powered by a three-phase 72V electric motor that produces 41PS of power and 91Nm of torque. The model has a claimed range of 110km (e2o = 120km), with the top speed rated at a modest 86 kmph. Mahindra offers eVerito in three different variants with 200 Ah battery generating Max Power and max torque output of 41bhp and 91Nm respectively. For channelizing the power, the eVerito comes with a direct-drive transmission with an option to choose from Eco/Boost modes. Interiors of eVerito are tastefully designed and thanks to the wide footprints, the car offers plenty of space for the occupants. Even the boot offers plentiful 510 litres to accommodate the luggage for the week trip, let alone for weekends. In Indian market, the Mahindra eVerito is up against the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, Ford Figo Aspire, and Tata Tigor Among others.
