After setting up a goal of getting ‘all-electric’ by the government of India, many companies and new startups realized the potential of the market of electric bikes in India. During the Auto Expo 2018, the models of electric bikes displayed were the talk of a town.

1 Tork T6X

  • Range:100 kilometers
  • Top speed: 100 km/hr
  • Launch Date: Mid 2019

Tork T6X is India’s first electric bike and is ready to take over India’s two-wheeler market. Tork T6X can be pre-booked at Rs.1,24,999. Pre-booking of Tork T6X has started on Tork Motorcycles’s website. Tork T6X can go 100 km in a single charge with a top speed of 100 kmph.

2 Ather 450

Ather 450 was launched in June this year by Ather Energy. The startup is founded by two IIT Madras graduates way back in 2013. Since then Ather Energy launched its first electric scooter Ather 340 in 2016.

Ather 450 is priced at Rs.1.25 lakhs and can go 75 kilometers in a single charge. Ather 450 has a top speed of 80 km/hr.

3 Emflux One

Emflux motors are the creator of Emflux One, a Bengaluru based startup. The Emfulx One is going on sale from April 2019. It will be priced around Rs.6 lakh. The superbike can go to a fabulous range of 200 km and can achieve 0-100 mph in 3 seconds.

4 TVS Creon

The two wheeler automotive giant TVS is entering the electric two wheeler segment by launching TVS Creon next year. TVS officials say that TVS Creon can boost a range of 80 kms and can go a top speed of 60 kmph in just 5.1 seconds. The selling price of TVS Creon is not yet disclosed.

5 Menza Lucas

At Auto Expo 2018, Menza Motors launched an electric motorcycle called Menza Lucas priced at Rs.2.8 lakhs. With a power of 18 kW motor, it can reach the highest speed of 120 kmph. It has an extensive range of 100 km for city rides and can even go 150 km on economy mode. Menza Lucas can be pre-ordered at Rs.10,000 on Paytm mall.

6 Twenty-Two Flow

Twenty Two Flow is the first electric bike launched by Twenty Two Motors. The ex-showroom price of Twenty Two Flow would be Rs.74,740. Flow can go a consistent range of 160 km in a single charge and can achieve the highest speed of 60 kmph. It has AI-controlled features for vehicle tracking. Twenty Two Flow is expected to be launched by the end of 2018.

7 Honda Electric PCX 125

Honda PCX 125 is believed to travel 100 km in a single charge. It can go a top speed of 95 kmph making it an aggressive electric scooter. Honda PCX125 is expected to be priced at around Rs.85,000 and will be launched by the end of 2019. Honda Electric PCX is already available in the International market.

8 Bajaj Urbanite

Bajaj Urbanite has been spotted testing for many times near their Pune factory. Bajaj hasn’t officially revealed its launch but Mr.Rajiv bajaj has confirmed that they will be launching Urbanite soon. This will be the manufacturer’s first electric vehicle in the market.
